The Christmas Tag.

16It’s December!! That can only mean one thing… it’s nearly Christmas!!! I have to admit my blogging has been some what sporadic recently so apologies for that. However, no time for excuses because I have set myself a goal… and that is Blogmas. For those of you that haven’t heard of this before – it is basically a blog a day on the build up to Christmas. Can I do it? Let’s find out.

As I’ve had a slight case of writers blog recently, I thought why not start the Blogmas journey off with a simple Christmas Tag. I first saw this on http://www.makeupsavvy.com and although I didn’t personally get tagged I thought it was a great tag to get me and everyone that reads it into the festive spirit. So here goes…

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?

This is a tricky one. I think I’m going to have to triple up and say Elf, The Holiday & Love Actually. Elf if I’m wanting pure comedy, The Holiday if im wanting pure romance and Love Actually if im wanting a mixture of the two. Feel good films are the best.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

100% Christmas Day. I honestly never knew opening presents on Christmas Eve was even a thing until my boyfriend told me him and his family used to always do the opening on Christmas Eve. I still can’t quite get my head around it. Every family has different traditions; having an Italian boyfriend means I get to hear loads of interesting facts about different cultures and traditions.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I think I would struggle to pick out one single memory. Christmas for me is about spending time with loved ones, having fun and creating new memories every year so to pick out just one would be impossible.

4. Favourite festive food?

Pigs in blankets – All day every day!

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

This is by far the easiest question. A few years ago my gran made the most beautiful crotchet blanket. She made it from scratch, wrapped it up and gave it to me. I think there is something about handmade gifts that feel so special. Now every time I get wrapped up in it, I feel like I’m getting  a big snuggle from my beautiful Grandma.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?

I guess it’s not really a Christmas scent but the smell of Baileys always reminds me of Christmas. I love going to a Christmas Market and getting a Hot Chocolate with Baileys… delicious.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

I have 2 that have stuck with me since my childhood and I refuse to let them go, whatever my age. I always receive a small gift from my mum on Christmas Eve. It’s usually something really small but something she knows will mean a lot. The second tradition is that I will always put my stocking at the end of the bed when I go to bed and Santa still fills it over night whilst I’m sleeping. It’s magic!

8. What tops your tree?

A White and Silver Fairy. We’ve had it for as long as I can remember… wouldnt be the same without it.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

A dog. I’m 25 and still asking.

10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?

The fact that it brings everyone together. Family is by far the most important thing in my life. Seeing everyone together, smiling and enjoying being with one another is the best and most special feeling in the world.

So there we have it. My first Blogmas Post. To say I’m excited would be an understatement – I LOVE Christmas so much. If you love Christmas as much as me, why don’t you give this Tag a go. Let me know if you do because I’d love to read your answers.
